What are the different level of cerebral palsy?

Five severity levels: C.P. Patients can be described using 5 severity levels. Level 5 patients can't sit up on their own, and can't get around without help. Level 4 patients can sit with support and learn to use a motorized wheelchair. Level 3 patients can sit alone and move about with orthotics, walkers, or wheelchairs. Level 2 patients can move about without help, but have visible, mild to moderate, difficulties.

Not simple to answer: Cerebral palsy is not a disease but is a description of motor behavior that is outside the normal. Most CP is due to brain damage or brain malformations during fetal development or during the labor and delivery process. However, some cases result from trauma or infection or strokes that can occur after birth. It is a static condition that can improve and can be mild, moderate or severe.
