Varies by location: Aside from really sick OR hospitalized patients, there aren't enough viral tests in many places. For now, we say that if people are healthy, just keep 6-9 feet from other people. If people have a confirmed COVID-19 exposure, or any symptoms (even just sniffles), they isolate themselves and call doctors on video. For bad symptoms, high-risk patients, or contact tracking, can ask for test. (4/3/20)

Testing not here yet: Testing for virus is gradually becoming more available. If you are a health care provider, you are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19, or you have been on close contact with a person who has tested positive for the virus, it may be possible for you to get tested. Sadly, if you are not hospitalized, you may be unable to get tested at present. So assume you might be contagious. (4/3/20)
