Probably safe: CBD is an oil (cannabidiol) from the marijuana plant. CBD is not addictive or psychoactive. It is thought to be safe and well-tolerated, but there is no good science showing CBD is a benefit for any specific body dysfunction. Like almost any drug, it may cause diarrhea, nausea, irritability, fatigue, etc. It may also interact with other medications you might be taking.
