Late periods: It's hard to say why it happens, but sometimes we are just late for our period. Even if it's never happened to you before, it could be happening now. Things like medications, stress, travel, changes in your weight, can all cause a late period. Next month, if your pregnancy test is negative, i would see your gyn doc for a check up. S/he might order some hormone blood tests and maybe an ultrasound.

Late period ?'s: Delays in ovulation will delay the start of a menstrual period. Stress (emotional, job or school related) can cause irregular ovulation. To be certain about pregnancy, obtain a serum HCG test. If negative, and pregnancy is desired, see your gyn physician, as there are treatable causes for failure to ovulate.
