Benzo detox: It does not. If you are dependent on higher doses of benzodiazepines or taking them daily for long periods of time, it is not safe to stop suddenly due to chance of having potentially fatal seizures that can sometimes lead to death. So patients on these drugs should have their prescriber refill the prescription. If not possible, the safest course is to taper slowly. Best: call detox clinic
