Probably: A light color text on a dark background irregardless of the colors involved, would allow distinction based on the brightness of the text rather than the color saturation. For someone red-green color blind, the most common, if the print were light red and the background light green with the same reflectance, then the print probably could not be red by the red-green color deficient.
