Can you make your own mask to prevent novel coronavirus infection, like out of old clothes?

Not preventative: Making your own mask will help decrease your chances of getting the infection but it will not prevent it. It allows very small particles to pass through the cloth and the virus is very small. It does help you from sreading the virus if you have it. It is important to wear a mask when you go into public places but you also need to practice social distancing of at least 6 feet.

COVID 19: Wearing a mask can help prevent you from spreading infection. Since people can spread COVID 19 when they are asymptomatic, mask use pr facial covering use is recommendd. I have made quite a few masks by hand. Two layers of tightly woven cotton is a good fabric choice.
