Not more extra C: If trying to get pregnant, or if already pregnant, one takes prenatal vitamins. Prenatal vitamins are multivitamins, and contain vitamin C. If a woman is already in good health with good nutrition, the added vitamins from prenatal vitamins are "not noticeable" to her body. The Folic Acid in the prenatal vitamins does help decrease the chance of a certain type of birth defect.
