Hard to say: Local options may vary. Some professional organizations and or hospital boards where such procedures would be done have age limits on the procedure. This is often triggered by women who change their mind after losing a child or other factor & the desire to avoid law suits. You need to contact a local source to see what your options are.

May be too young: The question is, "When should a person be allowed to sterilize permanently?" That means not being able to have future children, ever. For people with major genetic mutations, that's an easy answer. For normal people, age and the number of living children can be big factors. We doctors do not want to do something to a person whom we feel is too young (who maybe will have a change of heart later).
