Can a panic attack harm pregnancy in first trimester?

Depends: The fetus is somewhat protected from any emotional issues. They feed & grow with a placenta designed to extract all they need to survive. Maternal stress can accelerate maturity of some systems but not in a negative way. If your issues cause you to self harm, do drugs or take worrisome meds it may affect the fetus.

Not really: It is important however to arrange things as much as possible to maintain a LOW STRESS pregnancy . Chronic stress can cause hormonal stress on the fetus. So getting the help and support you need in every way is important !! Best Wishes
