Mysterious indeed: If not pregnant, it can't be a baby's head. If one has put her finger into her vagina several times in the past and felt no such lump, her doctor can evaluate to see what the new lump is. If she is not used to feeling the inside of her vagina (she's new at this), then the lump might be her cervix. The cervix feels a bit like the tip of a big nose but has a dimple in the center. Doctor can examine.
