Depends on Level: Cervical (quadriplegia) results in the partial or complete loss of arm and leg function as well as the loss of bowel and bladder control and sexual function (males), sensation (females) although some remain able to conceive. Paraplegia (thoracic and lumbar) result in much the same except the arms are spared. Complete injuries (no sensation/movement don't recover. Incomplete have better prognosis.
