Normal temperature: You might believe 98.6 is always normal body temperature. Not true. It's just the average over the course of aday (in most people) or among any large number of people. Everybody's temperature, including your baby's, varies from around 97 to 99 (somtimes even more) over the course of a day. It will generally be a bit lower in the morning and higher afternoon and evening.
