Rectovaginal fistula: A fistula between the rectum and the vagina can be so small that visual identification is difficult, but if there is no odor, you may not have a fistula. "Gas" or plain air can be trapped in the vagina when certain positions are taken, but this is not unusual. If you have not had traumatic deliveries, it is unlikely that this is caused by a fistula.
