A member asked:

Since my daughter turned 9 months old she is no longer on her formula. she however has water at crche, her cereal and 2 other meals. once she's home she will have supper & breastmilk from the evening and early hours when she wakes up. is it normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Basics: Night waking has more to do with how they start sleep than what they eat. They should not be BF to settle into sleep or it will be expected when they cycle through sleep in the night. A kid who learns to self settle without food...you reading to or talking them down from a distance allows them to develop the skill that allows them to re-settle late at night.
