If all else in life: If life is going fine, without psychiatric, hormonal, or blood circulation issues affecting erections, then it doesn't matter much if a person gets normal erections at particular times of night but not at the time he wakens to arise in the morning. However, too much worrying or overthinking of one's erections and penis may lead to anxiety... as in performance anxiety... when an erection is needed.

Erections: In addition to the excellent response you already received I'll add this. Although guy (mostly) talk about morning erections they actually occur throughout the night as we cycle through the four stages of sleep. REM sleep is dream sleep and that's when the eyes move around under the closed lids and erections often occur. Please see your doc if concerned.

Normal: There is nothing wrong with your experiences. Wish you good health. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/.
