Infectious etiology: One of the most common causes of chronic or chronic active gastritis is helicobacter pylori microorganism. Another causes- drug induced gastritis. Gastric biopsy and microscopic evaluation is informative test. In inflammatory bowel disease- chrohn's disease, stomach can be involved and can reveal chronic gastritis with granulomas.
