Yes it can: Timolol eye drops, because they are beta blockers, can cause bradycardia (slow heart rate) & heart blocks (Types 1-4). These problems occur mostly in older patients (over 80 years) and are pretty uncommon. See this case report: https://www.internationaljournalofcardiology.com/article/S0167-5273(01)00489-2/abstract Timolol has helped many, many, many people with glaucoma safely.
