Ekg normal but jolting pain in chest and very painful in shoulder blades & antacids no help x1wk. hr spikes up to 160, sometimes staying 110 for more than 10min. while sitting for over a year. had to stop lap swimming due to pain and breathing.

Tachycardia: Although an EKG was normal your heart rate of 160 is not. Tachycardia can be caused for various reasons. SVT, atrial fibrillation would be some of the more common reasons. Let your provider know about your symptoms you should be evaluated. A holter monitor or perhaps a stress test or both may help.
