Find a doc: There are variations in acne & each require different approach. Topical salycilic acid based lotions ,retenoids , washes are most common, Topical or oral antibiotics are occasionally used. A vitamin A derivative is sometimes used in severe acne. Treatment is based on exam and patients response to therapies involved. Find a doc & make a long term plan.Some have it into their 30's and beyond.
