How long is too long for a kidney stone to pass before medical intervention is needed? i started taking alfuzosin a few weeks ago to help. im female & the stone is currently in my bladder. i was diagnosed with the stone at the end of july.

Depends: How big is the stone? Do you have any symptoms? Could you have passed the stone without your being aware of it? If you do not have any blood in urine and no infection, you may leave it alone. Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless.
