Im currently trying to have a baby but my period is irregular. its been like this since its started when i was 15 and im currently 29. was on the pill before (nordette) but been off contraceptive since april 2019 and my last period was 5 july ?

Pregnancy: Need more history to help you with suggestions. You can still get pregnant with history of irregular Period. Might take bit longer than someone who had regular periods. But if you are trying for months with no result, not a bad idea discussing it further with your Ob/Gyn doctor. If you don't have one, HealthTap doctors are here to help!

Fertility concern: If you have not conceived in 6 months to one year, you need to see a Fertility GYN MD for assessment. In the meantime, you can chart your basal body temperature (BBT) to determine if there is a possibility that you are ovulating or not. You can then take the BBT chart to the Fertility GYN MD for analysis as to why your periods are irregular. A lack of ovulation is a non starter for conception.
