A member asked:

Period pains and bleeding but ovaries do not function after chemotherapy.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chemotherapy ?'s: After chemotherapy, egg follicles may not still exist, but sometimes the ovaries can still produce estrogen, and after sustained estrogen production, endometrial tissue will breakdown, causing vaginal bleeding. To be certain, see your gyn physician for an exam.
