Pain with menses?'s: Painful menses is usually related to endometriosis. Consult your gyn physician and consider using oral bcp's, which can reduce the hormones of a "natural period" and the active pills can be extended to cover multiple continuous cycles, and make your episodes of bleeding when you stop the active pills much less painful. This can be continued until menopause occurs.

Agree with Dr. B: Your doctor can prescribe pills that can limit your period to once a year or so.
