A member asked:

I missed my periods and i am not pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Amenorrhea : Amenorrhea is lack of menstruation for 6 months or 3 consecutive cycles. Now the first possibility of pregnancy, ruling it out we have to test FSH and prolactin levels, if normal we continue with a progesterone teat to induce bleeding, if still not bleeding the next is a estrogen/progesterone test and some other further studies. Lack of menstruation can have a lot of causes such as stress as well.
