Went to er about 2weeks ago and dr said i tore the cartilage in my knee. now it makes a loud popping sound whenever i straighten it. what's causing that?

See ortho: A common tear to a cartilage is a "bucket handle" tear. The popping is where the handle "lifts up" and blocks the knee from moving. Kind of like a door stop. You should be seen by an orthopedist.
