Infrequent periods ?: At age 31, your periods should be predictable and from 24-32 days apart. Polycystic ovarian disease (PCOS) can suppress ovulation, and bleeding will occasionally occur at long intervals due to breakdown of the lining of the womb secondary to increased estrogen production and lack of ovulation. See your gyn physician and ask about "PCOS" as a cause.
