Good day i have been "spotting" (light bleeding) for the past 2 weeks going for 3 weeks. i've had period pains throughout. is it the contraceptives?

Cramps/bleeding ?'s: If you are on oral bcp's, and have not taken the "active" pills at the same time each day, the levels of estrogen will fall, and bleeding will occur along with "menstrual type" cramps. Stop the oral bcp's now, wait five days, and start a new pack with "day# 1" , and make sure you take each active pill in the evening, within an hour of the preceding day's pill.
