Gaviscon: Since gaviscon creates a foam barrier at the junction of the esophagus and stomach, it interferes with medications entering the stomach. Accordingly one should not take any oral medications for at least 3 hours after taking gaviscon or, more preferably,take other medications before taking gaviscon.
