I want to know what is the difference between period cramps and stomach cramps?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cramps: Cramps is the description of the type of pain. Very often difficult to distinguish the two and very often they are inter-related. Period cramps are due to the uterus contracting to help expel the blood from the uterine cavity, some blood can pass backwards through the fallopian tubes and come out, when it does it can often irritate your bowel and cause bowel / abdominal / stomach cramping.
