R/O Ectopic: An ectopic cannot be ruled out without an ultrasound. If you have a history of risk factors that predispose you such as a prior ectopic or PID, you should be evaluated immediately. Pain and abnormal bleeding in the presence of early pregnancy should be evaluated to insure it’s not an ectopic. Make an appt with your OB or, if the pain is severe, go to the ER.
