38 weeks later: Count 38 weeks from conception to arrive at the expected due date. Natural pregnancy "dates" are just estimates. Nobody knows her conception date with 100% certainty in a natural pregnancy, because she cannot see when the sperm merges with the egg (was it 6:00 a.m., or 6:00 p.m., or the day after sex, or 3 days after sex, etc...). Most babies are born near, but not on, their expected due dates.
