No: External clitoral massage will not involve or damage the hymen. A girl may also have never developed an intact hymen, have a minimal hymen rim or have torn it in non sexual ways during early childhood. In some cultures it is considered a proof of virginity but has little validity as a fact. There are so many other forms of sexual contact that can pass STD's it has less value in fact.

Wouldn't worry: Normal men, women, boys, and girls masturbate. It isn't harmful, as one's body goes through similar effects during regular sex with a partner (but too much of any one thing may become a problem). Masturbation does not stunt height, cause hair loss or gray hair, make you weak, create heart problems, affect virginity, lower fertility, affect your weight, change the insignificance of a hymen, etc...
