I have a 1inch purple mark come between my eyes it feels panfull inside not to touch.what can cause this? no meds or accidents but headache for a week

Headache: That is a long time to have a headache and warrants an evaluation by a physician or neurologist if it persists. It could be a muscle contraction tension headache,however.The purple mark may be leakage of blood from a skin capillary, which is not usually painful, and is probably insignificant and unrelated. Any chance that it was an insect bite?
