Work: You're not as relaxed at work as you are at home. You may need a third dose of methyldopa in between the AM and PM doses to prevent this rise in bp at work. I feel that the main effect of each dose wears off after about 6 hours. Discuss this with your prescribing physician to see if he/she agrees.

BP increase?: Pre-eclampsia will not arise secondary to intermittent BP elevations at work. Your OB physician will counsel you about pre-eclampsia if your resting BP's are sustained, along with increased water retention, and other signs.
