No: It is not normal to have painful sex. Painless sex is the norm. One's primary care doctor can evaluate the pain symptoms. The doctor will examine and want to know where the pain is, how it starts, how it ends, what makes it worse, and what makes it better. Generally, there are no "normal" severe pains in life except for perhaps nine months after sex, during "normal childbirth."
