I have this dark mark that seems to have developed on the outer side of my left thigh. it's not painful but at times i do get a sense that the is something. i have monitored it over a month now but it doesnt seem to be disappearing.

Dark spot: Any new dark spot on the skin has to be watched for the ABCDE rules: Asymmetry (one half of the mole doesn't match the other), Border irregularity, Color that is not uniform, Diameter greater than 6 mm (about the size of a pencil eraser), and Evolving size, shape or color. If you note any of these, you should have it looked at by a physician as soon as you can.
