Allergy vs asthma: There are multiple triggers of asthma attacks including: colds, exercise, aspirin, cold air, sinus infection, acid reflux, air pollution, and allergies. About half of adults with asthma have an allergic trigger, while 80-90% of kids with asthma have allergic trigger to their asthma. Allergic reactions can affect nose and eyes without affecting lungs. If it leads to lung inflammation, it's asthma.
