Would not advise: Giving sugar to babies less than 1 year old is not advisable.Consuming excess salt and sugar as a baby leads to a pattern of poor dietary choices later in life, thus, causes lifestyle diseases like obesity, diabetes and hypertension. This can lead to higher adrenaline levels and causes hyperactivity in children.

You're kidding ??: Two basic issues. If you want the kids brain changed permanently to crave sweets, this is how you do it. If you want to risk the candy ending up in the kids lungs by accident, this is a way you do it. The only sweet things an infant should be exposed to are the natural sweats in things like apple sauce or a piece of an orange wedge.
