Oral Lesion: Any lesion that has not resolved on its own within two weeks should be evaluated by a dentist, possible an oral surgeon. Smoker, chewing tobacco, alcohol user? Size of lesion and location? best bet is to have it examined.

Red spot: Oh so many possibilities. Cannot diagnose blind. You have to be examined to be diagnosed. If th3 lesion is growing, changing in texture or color, changing shape, painful, etc., must be examined. If more than 2 weeks old, must be examined. If you smoke (anything), chew tobacco, have more than 1 drink a day, have been diagnosed with diabetes or GERD, have irritating dental work or damaged teeth.....
