Cervix/ ectopy: Cervical ectropion/ectopy /erosion is endocervix tissue( the inside of the cervix) found in the vagina The everted epithelium has a reddish appearance,like granulation tissue. Common in adolescents, pregnant women, or those taking estrogen-containing contraceptives. Vaginal discharge is the most common symptom. may have bleeding post sex. usually benign. r/o/ cancer w/ PAP f/u w/ MD

Possibly a sign : of infection of the cervix, more importantly, does the pap say " no abnormal cells or malignancy" or other wise "normal pap"?
