Microval bcp's: Microval is a "progesterone only" bcp, and may inhibit ovulation, but is about "98% effective. See your gyn physician for an exam for the "2 day periods", and regarding "hair falling out" ask your physician to check your TSH level (thyroid stimulating hormone) regarding possible hyperthyroidism, which can also affect your menstrual cycle.
