Breast inflammation : You don’t mention if the red lump is warm or tender. If so, it is most likely a pimple or other localized skin infection. Ingrown hairs sometimes cause infection in the skin of the breast. This would be an unlikely presentation of a breast cancer, though I cannot rule that out without an in-person examination. If it persists or worsens, see your doctor.
