Shortness of breath: Did you have a chest xray that documented pneumonia?. You may have associated wheezing or asthmatic bronchitis. Nebulizer treatments are to relieve the bronchspasm and wheezing sounds. Often, additional treatment with corticosteroid medication is needed to relieve the wheezing and shortness of breath. Discuss this with your MD if you're not improving. Shortness of breath will persist if wheezing
