Not typical cause: Recurrent yeast infections maybe due to many causes. Most commonly occur from 1.being on antibiotics ( kills the healthy vaginal bacterial flora which keeps yeast in check) 2. Hyperglycemia from poorly controlled or undiagnosed diabetes 3. Underlying immunodeficiency- frequent or chronic illness, HIV, poor diet, cancer.
