Skipping placebo: If you skip the placebo on any of the "tri-cyclen" pills, you can have all kinds of side effects. This includes bleeding (spotting to whole period), bloating, and acne. If you want to skip periods, talk to your doctor about a single-dose pill instead of a "tri"-dose pill.
