Bcp's: Start your new pack of oral bcp's on day 5 of what is most like a "period". Do not rely on the oral bcp's for pregnancy protection until you have taken them regularly (same time each evening) for a month , and have a brief withdrawal "period" while on the placebo (sugar) pills. Use other forms of contraception until you are in the middle of the second month of oral bcp's.
