A member asked:

Hi, will a normal gp be able to do a semen analysis? if not to what type of doctor do i need to go?

Semen analysis: A semen analysis can be done at a lab recommended by your GP. The sperm count, the motility and any abnormal forms are evaluated and if all are "within normal limits", menstrual periods regular, a hysterosalpingogram (HSG) is the next step, which can be done by a gyn physician by a brief procedure in a hospital.
