Hard to say: This product will often 1st bring out emerging pimples before having later long term benefit. The time duration of application and frequency of use matter. You should contact the doc for guidance on any needed modifications to your present skin care routine before abandoning the drug. If any change is needed s/he can decide at that point.

Depends on severity: If you have moderate to severe acne, long-term oral antibiotics in addition to topical cream is required to keep your acne under control. Doxycycline or minocycline is often used for that purpose.
