Average to good: The 'fertile window' lasts up to 6 days. You are at your most fertile the day you ovulate and the day before. However, because sperm can survive for up to five days, and must swim up the canal, having sex on the days leading up to ovulation significantly increase your chances of getting pregnant.

Decent : One can never really know the exact time of ovulation. This is why birth control and condoms are recommended for those having sex who do not desires pregnancy. Use over the counter Plan B if intercourse was within 72 hours to decrease the risk of unplanned pregnancy.
